Web Servers
Additional notes for commonly used web servers, that supplement the 'Installation' section of this documentation.
Installation instructions are pretty similar for all operating systems. The difference is mostly in the web server being used. We are trying to provide additional notes for some common web servers, that extend the general Jinzora installation manual. Those servers include:
Enterprise Stand Alone Web Servers
Preconfigured Web Servers
Preconfigured Web Servers are packages containing a web server with embedded PHP and MySQL support. Everything you need to do is to download and extract the package on your computer. After extracting, you can start your new server without even installing it!
Those packages are ideal for testing and for users who do not know how to install and configure a server manually. But remember most packages are not created for production servers. They might not be suitable for high traffic web sites and are possibly less secure than the servers mentioned above. But still, it's a great way to get up and running in minutes!
OpenDevelopment Projects
Our comunity members came up with a VMware appliance and a set of Jinzora Installer Scripts for Linux that handle the downloading and installation of Jinzora for you.
